The Health Foundation's video, showing the powerful impact that the Simple Telehealth/Flo programme can have on its users, has won a film festival award.

The winners of the inaugural Haelo Film Festival were announced last night (12 November 2015) at the awards ceremony. The film, showing how Flo helps a young person manage his diabetes, an older person live with his asbestosis and a new mother breastfeed her baby son, was one of five made as part of the Health Foundation's Power of People films. The Flo film picked up the gong for Best Commission, with Jon Corner, Chief Executive of The Landing, presenting the award to Penny Pereira, who was collecting on behalf of The Health Foundation and Lightbox.

Flo is supported as a programme by WMAHSN under its Person-Centred Care theme. Flo is an easy to use telehealth service, designed by NHS professionals to provide support and advice for patients, enabling them to manage their own long term health conditions. Flo combines the expertise of the patient’s healthcare team and the convenience of their own mobile phone to give them prompts and advice via text messages.
