Join the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN) for an evening of networking with clinicians, academics and industry over canapés, and the official launch of Meridian, the region’s brand new online health innovation exchange.

Meridian, part of the WMAHSN’s Innovation and Adoption Service, has been specifically designed to support the West Midlands' innovation ecosystem by providing industry with an opportunity to showcase their innovations and performance-enhancing products, services and technology. This platform also helps health and social care and academia to formulate campaigns which address service delivery and medical challenges that require creative and innovative solutions via collaborative development with industry.

Being held at the Vox Conference Centre at Resorts World, a newly opened £150m leisure complex, this free event on 1 March will include a keynote speech from a leading innovator within the region. The event – which starts at 3.30pm - will then go on to explore the features of the Meridian platform, and how you can engage with the WMAHSN’s vision for innovation, adoption and diffusion for the West Midlands, before offering you the opportunity to network with clinicians, academics and industry across the region.

Lucy Chatwin, Business Manager at WMAHSN, said: “Meridian is a pioneering interactive platform for anyone to share their innovations and ideas, build groups and networks and make contact with people whose innovations could change healthcare in the West Midlands. The website will support the adoption of good practice in health and social care and share lessons learned from across the sector.

“We are looking forward to seeing anyone with an interest in healthcare innovation at our exciting launch event – and don’t forget to arrive armed with your challenges and solutions!”

Refreshments will provided throughout the evening, and on site car parking and wifi will be available.

Please note that although this event is free, a booking cancellation fee of £25 will be charged for non-attendance or for cancellations made less than seven days before the event without a valid reason.
