West Midlands' LPN seeks four Clinical Network Leads

The West Midlands’ Pharmacy Local Professional Network (LPN) is seeking four enthusiastic, professional leaders with the capacity to effectively influence and drive forward the agenda of the LPN. Responsible to the Chair of the Pharmacy LPN, each Clinical Network Lead will support design and delivery of the LPN’s Medicines Optimisation programme, engaging across a wide range of stakeholders within the emerging Sustainability and Transformation Plan footprints: Birmingham and Solihull, the Black Country, Arden (Coventry and Warwickshire) and Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Applications are, therefore, welcome from the wider pharmacy sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the value of pharmacy teams (regardless of setting) in helping to achieve the aims of the NHS Right Care programme. Each Clinical Network Lead will play a significant role in influencing robust integration of pharmacy and medicines optimisation across the system in order to drive continuous improvements in safety and quality, ensure value for money, encourage a “seat at the table” of urgent and emergency care planning and support effective workforce and infrastructure developments such as Healthy Living Pharmacies and e-referral pathways. For more information, read the job description.

The LPN is inviting expressions of interest, to be submitted on this template, by midday on Monday 4 April 2016. The roles are sessional and as such successful candidates will not be directly employed by NHS England. The roles are fixed term until 31 March 2017, with the possibility of extension.

For an informal discussion about the roles, please contact Michelle Deenah via  michelle.deenah@nhs.net or 07450 366214.
