Open call for EIT Health Accelerator

Posted on 29 April 2016 (Permalink)

The EIT Health Accelerator creates an ecosystem where innovation can thrive. It gathers the best and brightest health industry entrepreneurs, and provides them with the support, skills and services that they need to get their ideas off the ground and into the market.

The EIT Health Accelerator is now officially open for novel activity and programme proposals. EIT Health hereby invites partners to submit proposals for launching new Accelerator activities and programmes in the EIT Health Accelerator 2017, and apply for EIT grant contributions to support their implementation. Proposals can be tailored to fit activities including:

Go Global

The purpose of the EIT Health Go Global internationalisation programmes is to support European start-ups and young companies within the thematic scope of EIT Health, with a view to help them expand in Europe, the United States and other international markets. Go Global programmes target companies that are beyond the initial start-up phase and are about to enter into an international expansion phase.

Boot Camp

The EIT Health Boot Camp is an intensive two-month programme for teams, from all over Europe, that have the ambition to become entrepreneurs and to explore the opportunities of their healthtech idea. The programme helps them to discover and validate their idea, market potential, business model and target customers. The Boot Camp programme targets MSc and PhD students who are close to finishing their courses, and young professionals who have a business idea for a startup. The programme only enlists teams formed of 2 to 5 members.

The Missing Puzzle

The EIT Health Accelerator Missing Piece of the Puzzle Call is to further develop the overall Accelerator portfolio. It aims to answer the following questions: What can we do to gather the best and brightest health industry entrepreneurs? Which Accelerator activities should be added to provide our entrepreneurs with the support, skills and services that they need to get their ideas off the ground and into the market?
