Local university offers Masters courses in healthcare and life sciences

Coventry University has a strong focus on employability and believes that professional experience is extremely important for all our students and embed employability throughout our Masters programmes. The university's Faculty of Health and Life Sciences offers a range of Masters and MBA programmes, each offering internship opportunities, including: 

  • MSc Biotechnology
  • MSc Biomedical Science
  • MSc Molecular Biology
  • MSc Pharmacology and Drug Discovery

The university is also brokering internships for MBA Health Care Management, MSc Global Health Care Management, MA Applied Psychology, MA Business and Organisational Psychology and MSc Fraud Investigation Management.

Suitable students are shortlisted and offered the chance to undertake a project based internship to complete their studies. Masters internships last from 18-22 weeks, dependant on the project and the course and will involve the student undertaking a project and preparing a relevant report. The University currently has two Masters cohorts per year and the internships commence around May and September.

The Employment Placement Unit (EPU) will partner with organisations to develop suitable campus-based or employer hosted internship roles, relevant to the goals of the organisation and supportive of the internees seeking to produce reports and/or research project outputs. EPU will manage the process and help organisations to shortlist suitable internees. We will handle CV’s and cover letters and work in partnership with organisations to arrange interviews at a mutually convenient time and location
