Industry-led proposals to build UK’s status as world leader in life sciences unveiled by ministers at home of WMAHSN

Industry proposals to help the UK’s life sciences sector become an international benchmark for success were unveiled today by a leading professor and government ministers during an event at the Institute of Translational Medicine, home to WMAHSN. Attended by Business Secretary Greg Clark and Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt, Sir John Bell outlined the industry’s vision for how government can work alongside the sector to boost businesses large and small across the £64 billion life sciences sector.

West Midlands Patient Safety Collaborative Postgraduate bursary opportunity

The West Midlands Patient Safety Collaborative (WMPSC) is pleased to announce that they will provide bursaries for either two full-time places or four part-time places on a Patient Safety or Quality Improvement in Healthcare Postgraduate academic course. WMPSC has agreed to fund 50% of the tuition fees for professionals working in healthcare within the region to undertake this MSc programme at a UK university of their choice.
