The West Midlands Patient Safety Collaborative (WMPSC) is pleased to announce that they will provide bursaries for either two full-time places or four part-time places on a Patient Safety or Quality Improvement in Healthcare Postgraduate academic course. Please click here to see examples of courses across the country.

As part of the work to increase the capability of the NHS in the West Midlands to commission and deliver safer care for our population, WMPSC has agreed to fund 50% of the tuition fees for professionals working in healthcare within the region to undertake this MSc programme at a UK university of their choice.

To apply for the bursary you should either:

  • Have a confirmed place at a UK university on an MSc in Patient Safety or Quality Improvement in Healthcare programme
  • Complete the application process at the chosen institution (this is an urgent requirement as institutions have deadlines on receipt of applications)
  • Make arrangements necessary for study leave.

The bursary award is subject to securing a place on a programme and a bursary shortlisting process which could include an interview.
If you want to know more about the process, please contact Helen.Hunt@wmahsn.org.
