West Midlands’ Health and wealth economic summit hailed a major success

More than 180 delegates from across the West Midlands’ healthcare, industry and academic organisations flocked to Birmingham yesterday (13 October) for an annual economic summit, which examined the links between health and wealth and the implications for the region. The West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN) hosted their second Health and Wealth Economic Summit, which saw healthcare industry, NHS, academic and patient representatives pack into the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston to hear how driving co-operation and productivity in healthcare can boost economic productivity, as well as increasing the employability of people across the region.
