Join celebration of local healthcare innovation at annual event

The West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN) is inviting members of the public, patients and carers from across the region, as well as representatives from NHS organisations, academic institutions and industry, to join them at Celebration of Innovation 2016, their annual stakeholder event. Bringing to life the 2015-16 Annual Report, showcasing programmes supported and introduced by the WMAHSN over the past 12 months, this free to attend event at the University of Warwick on Thursday 30 June will inform delegates on the impact that the WMAHSN has made on improving health and wealth.

Digital Health Quarter-based Kaido secures £50,000 funding from Creative England

Innovation Birmingham Campus-based Kaido has successfully secured a £50,000 investment from Creative England’s Interactive Healthcare Programme to market-test and accelerate the launch of their new online platform. This announcement follows an impressive year for Kaido who has recently been accepted on to the Serendip Smart City Incubator at Innovation Birmingham’s new iCentrum building. They will join the Digital Health Quarter and will co-locate with commercial partner, the WMAHSN.

Applications for awards celebrating innovation in West Midlands’ healthcare now open

The West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN) has announced that entries for its very first awards, celebrating innovation in healthcare across the region, are now open. The awards will be presented at a ceremony at the WMAHSN's annual stakeholder event at the University of Warwick on 30 June, and reflect the WMAHSN's priorities and themes. There are also special awards for innovative individuals and organisations.
