31 March 2016
EIT Health KIC is inviting partners to submit proposals for new Innovation by Ideas projects to be included in the Business Plan to start in 2017. The ultimate objective of the projects should be the rapid market penetration of innovative healthcare products and services. Innovation by Ideas projects should build on multidisciplinary collaboration and address and contribute to at least one societal challenge and one business objective (as outlined in the EIT Health Strategic Agenda):
|Promoting healthy living||
|Supporting active ageing||
Innovation by Ideas projects are collaborative projects and are driven by societal challenges within the thematic scope of EIT Health. The projects are ‘solution driven’, i.e. a potential solution has been identified that either capitalises on an opportunity or addresses a specific problem presented by demographic ageing of the population. These are considered bottom-up proposals, and the projects can be led by either core or associate partners of any category. A maximum EIT contribution of €500,000 can be sought for each project. The EIT contribution will be provided for a maximum of 12 months, finishing on 31 December 2017 at the latest.
Online submission will be available on 1 April, with a submission deadline of 16 May at 4pm (CET). For more information, please see the Call for Innovations by Ideas 2016 brochure.
If you are considering submitting an Innovation by Ideas project, please contact Dr Claire Potter, EIT Health KIC Programme Lead, as soon as possible on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0121 371 8061.
The online submission process is now open and closes at 4pm (CET) on 16 May 2016.
