Finalists Announced for the Medilink Midlands Business Awards 2022

The best and brightest Life Sciences companies from across the Midlands have been shortlisted for the Medilink Midlands Business Awards 2022. The awards ceremony will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, in Nottingham, on Thursday 27 January, from 7:00pm till late.

The business awards celebrate the achievements, breakthroughs and innovations of companies operating or moving into the healthcare, med tech or bioscience sector. The applications have been reviewed by an independent panel of judges to select the winning companies from both the West and Eas Midlands, who will be crowned winners on the night.

Winners of the Medilink Midlands regional awards are then automatically shortlisted for the national Medilink UK awards, which will take place later this year.

The shortlisted companies are:

Start Up Award, for newly established companies which show a promising future.

Export Achievement Award, for substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success.

Delivering Innovation in to Health and Care, sponsored by the East the West Midlands and East Midlands Academic Health Science Networks (Health Innovation Network), for an innovation that is being adopted by the NHS and that has demonstrated an impact on efficacy, patient outcomes and NHS system costs.

Innovation Award, sponsored by TBAT Innovation Ltd, for the development of innovative technology, design and/or processes that have produced a major improvement in business performance & impacted the market.

Outstanding Achievement Award, sponsored by Mills & Reeve LLP, for an outstanding achievement that has had a significant or vital impact on the company and market showing potential for continued growth.

Advances in Digital Healthcare, awarded to the company who demonstrate how digital technologies were employed to enhance current service delivery or create new ways of delivering healthcare.

Partnership between Academia & Business, awarded to the company who demonstrate how the collaboration / partnership has or will enhance current service delivery or create new ways of delivering healthcare, sponsored by ARISE Innovation Hubs – Part of Anglia Ruskin University.

One to Watch Award, for businesses that show a great deal of potential.

The event will be hosted by Justin Moorhouse – Stand-up Comedian, Radio DJ and Actor. Justin appeared in Phoenix Nights alongside Peter Kay, Looking for Eric and Guess The Attendance. Moorhouse has also appeared as a guest on the Dave TV series As Yet Untitled with Alan Davies. It is set to be an exciting evening of celebration with over 150 industry professionals expected to attend.
