Pharmacy Research UK (PRUK) is the principle funder of pharmacy research in the UK, funding research across a wide range of topics and using research outputs to develop and support policy and practice relevant to pharmacy, health and social care.
The Scientific Advisory Panel provides strategic advice to the Board of Trustees on the development of PRUK’s research grant giving strategy, objectives and research priorities. The panel also plays an important role in ensuring that the research we fund is fairly assessed and of the highest quality.
PRUK is looking to recruit a new expert member to the panel to bring enthusiasm and experience and who has a willingness to speak their mind. They are seeking a new member who has relevant academic experience within pharmacy and holds a clinical academic role (senior lecturer level or equivalent). Please note this is an unpaid role but reasonable expenses relating to PRUK activity will be paid.
PRUK is also seeking to appoint two members of the public to the panel to help guide the research programme and priorities. Members will be a key part of a grant award process and will lead the public review of our applications, take part in candidate interviews and make recommendations for funding. Candidates should bring enthusiasm and a willingness to think creatively and speak their mind. Public members will be fully inducted into the charity and given one-to-one support, advice and training throughout their tenure, and will be reimbursed for their attendance at meetings and for reasonable expenses.
If you are interested in these roles, please email your CV and a covering letter to Victoria Evans at firstname.lastname@example.org. The closing date for this role is 9am on 21 November.
