A new Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands will come into being on 1 January 2018.
The new Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands (WM) will have two principal objectives, building a thriving innovation ecosystem and catalysing collaborative innovation activity across the West Midlands. The Innovation Alliance WM will both build on the legacy of Birmingham Science City, which will close at the end of 2017, and respond to the recent extensive stakeholder consultation in which many of you participated.
Please save the date for a launch meeting of the Innovation Alliance from 7.30 - 9.30am on 30 January 2018, on the theme of ‘Innovation, Place and the Industrial Strategy’, hosted by EY at its central Birmingham office and with speakers from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy; details will follow early in the New Year.
