The BHF announce Cardiovascular Catalyst Awards

The BHF have an announced an upcoming call for applications to fund research into the use of advanced analytics to improve cardiovascular care delivery and outcomes in the NHS.

Applications will be open from late September 2021 until late November 2021.

This call aims to fund research proposals that seek to improve the delivery of care and/or outcomes of patients with heart and circulatory disease through development and application of advanced analytics approaches, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, within the NHS.

A £1 million fund is available, and proposals for research projects lasting up to two years and costing up to £200,000 are invited

Who can apply?

  • We anticipate that the applicants for these awards will come from the NHS or NHS-related structures such as Academic Health Science Centres or Networks, working in partnership with others, including the University sector.
  • For administrative purposes applications must be affiliated with an academic institution that will receive and administer any funding awarded.
