Vitamin D Guidance in Care Homes

On 28 November 2020, the government announced that 2.7 million vulnerable individuals in England were to be offered free winter supply of vitamin D this included to clinically extremely vulnerable and care home residents. Care Homes are currently being issued with 4 months supply of vitamin D drops/resident at a dose of 400iu/day. Coventry & Rugby CCG have developed a best practice document for care homes to support them in this initiative. This is attached in word form which you are welcome to modify for local use with acknowledgement to the original author.
