The Accelerated Access Collaborative at NHS England and Improvement has been working with the AHSN Network to roll out FeNO testing to help improve the diagnosis of asthma. As part of this roll out, Wessex AHSN has produced an extensive online resource area to help implement FeNO testing locally.
Pathway Transformation Funding was opened to help providers overcome practical obstacles to introducing FeNO and whilst that application cycle has now closed, The West Midlands Academic Health Science Network is now opening further local/regional applications for the provision of the FeNO device and mouthpieces.
It is envisaged that this application will be utilised at PCN level and whilst there is no maximum number of devices and mouthpieces you are able to apply for, with funds and support available, the number of projects will need to be balanced and, where possible, equitable across the region. Projects should last no longer than 12 months from the point that they start.
The West Midlands Academic Health Science Network will provide support to your FeNO project in the form of Project and Clinical Leadership, overseen and supported by:
Victoria Savage, Innovation Project Manager and Martin Allen, Clinical Lead. Please do not hesitate to contact on firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries regarding this process.
